SIV Tandem
SIV Tandem certification is issued to tandem pilots that explored the limits of their tandem glider under the supervision of an Siv instructor and showed the necessary skills to control it in extreme situations. This course is given above water with appropriate safety equipment. Certification issued by an APPI SIV instructor.
Prerequisites
Non-commercial tandem pilot qualification is needed to enter the course.
Training
The SIV tandem course is conducted above water with full rescue support. Pilots practice stalls, spins, spirals, collapses and other maneuvers to explore the limits of their tandem wing under supervision.
Certification
Certification is issued by an APPI SIV Instructor once the pilot demonstrates safe control of all required maneuvers and proper safety procedures.
