Yes — tell us it's a surprise at booking and we brief the crew. Many guests do a blindfolded drive to the site or reveal a wrapped helmet at the meeting point. The flight itself is surprise enough either way.

How much does a birthday paragliding surprise cost?

A classic tandem runs ₹3,000–₹3,500, extended ₹4,000–₹4,500, with GoPro video ₹500–₹1,000 extra — the add-on we'd insist on for birthdays. Group formats price per head. Lakeside celebration add-ons at Pawna are quoted separately.

What if the weather cancels the birthday flight?

We take the go/no-go call the evening before, so you'll know in advance and can adjust the plan. The flight reschedules to the next workable date — the surprise stays intact and the celebration can move or proceed without the flight that day.

Can kids get a birthday paragliding flight?

Yes — tandem passengers can be as young as about 6 with guardian consent, subject to the standard weight range (roughly 25–95 kg). A kid's tandem flight is genuinely one of the best birthday formats we see.

Can we bring a cake or decorations?

Simple cake-at-the-field moments work — we'll coordinate where and when so it doesn't interfere with operations. For bigger celebrations, the Pawna lakeside evening (barbecue, bonfire) is the better venue; we can arrange it through Lakeside Mantra.

The Solo Surprise — the birthday person flies alone while the group watches from the launch or landing field. Cheapest, simplest, and the most dramatic: they take off nervous and land changed. Add the GoPro footage and you have their reaction on record.

The Tandem Pair — the birthday person plus partner or best friend fly back-to-back slots, close enough to wave at each other in the air. Works beautifully for couples and makes for the best combined photos.

The Group Flight — the birthday person flies with friends rotating through the same slot window. Everyone who wants to fly flies; the birthday becomes a shared adventure instead of a spectacle. This is the format for friend groups of 4+.

Whichever format, the reveal is yours to script: blindfolded drive to the site, a wrapped box containing a helmet with a note inside, or just telling them in the car on the way — the drive from Pune or Mumbai gives you a whole soundtrack to build anticipation.

The add-ons that make it a celebration

GoPro video — non-negotiable for birthdays. The launch-face, the moment they see the lake, the landing grin. ₹500–₹1,000 and worth every rupee; it's the footage they'll post.

Cake at the field — we can coordinate a simple cake moment at the landing area or the lakeside after the flight. It's rustic — a field, not a restaurant — but that's part of why it works.

Planning notes — timing, weather, secrets

Book 4–7 days ahead minimum; weekend slots in October–February go a week or more out. Tell us it's a surprise at booking — pilots and ground crew are briefed accordingly and know to keep the reveal clean.

Timing: the evening window (3–6 pm) suits birthday plans best — you can drive out after lunch, fly at golden hour, and have the whole evening free for the celebration. Morning slots work if the plan extends to brunch or a Lonavala day.

Weather is the one contingency: paragliding is wind-dependent and sometimes calls are made the evening before. We always have a reschedule plan — and honestly, a postponed surprise flight still lands the surprise; the voucher stays valid.

Dress code matters more than people expect: closed shoes (sports shoes perfect), comfortable clothes, nothing loose that flaps dramatically. Long hair tied back. The birthday outfit should be something they can jog a few steps in.
