Does the whole group fly at the same time?

What if some people in the group don't want to fly?

Non-flyers are welcome — the field is spectator-friendly, launches and landings happen right in front of the group, and honestly watching is half the fun. Only the people who fly pay.

Can a group booking include food or accommodation?

Flying as a group — how it works

Paragliding is technically a solo sport — a tandem carries one passenger and one pilot — but the group format is where it becomes a shared adventure. Everyone flies in rotation through the same booking window; everyone else watches, cheers, photographs and compares notes from the field.

We handle groups of 4 to 50+ at Kamshet — friends' weekend crews, families celebrating together, college reunions, bachelor/bachelorette trips, festival outings. The booking is one conversation: give us headcount and dates, we allocate pilots to your window so the rotation moves fast.

The part that surprises people: watching is almost as fun as flying. Launches happen right in front of you, landings come in past the field, and the gap between slots is where the group energy builds — 'how was it' is the most-asked question at a paragliding site.

If your group includes non-flyers — the friend who's scared, the parent who's watching, the toddler — they have a genuinely good day at the field anyway. This is not a solo sport that excludes the group.

The groups we see most

Friends' trips — the classic: 4–10 people, a weekend, everyone flies, then the Pawna lakeside evening. The most common format we run and the one the site is built for.

Families — parents plus kids (from about 6 with guardian consent), sometimes three generations. Grandparents watching from the field while the kids fly is a regular and genuinely lovely sight.

Celebrations — birthdays, anniversaries, proposals (yes, mid-flight proposals happen), graduation treats. We can help script the reveal if it's a surprise; our crew is briefed when it matters.

Per-head pricing and what it covers

Group tandem pricing scales with headcount — as a guide, roughly ₹2,800–₹4,000 per person for a classic tandem depending on group size, flight type and weekday/weekend. Bigger groups get better per-head rates because pilots are shared across your window.

Everything a solo booking gets is included: certified tandem pilot, all equipment, pre-flight briefing, and transport up to the takeoff point. GoPro video is available per person at ₹500–₹1,000 — worth it, especially for the group's shared album.

No hidden group fees. If someone's slot gets weather-postponed inside a group booking, their reschedule is handled individually — the rest of the group isn't held hostage by one person's slot.

Deposit structure for large groups (15+): a partial advance holds the slot window and the pilots allocated to it; the balance settles on the day or at final confirmation. Smaller groups usually just book like normal tandems.

Planning notes for group organizers

Nominate one point of contact. A single person coordinating headcount, diet requirements for any meal add-ons, and the WhatsApp group makes the whole thing ten times smoother — we'll communicate through them.

Collect requirements early: rough weight range of participants (25–95 kg), any medical considerations flagged privately, ages of minors. Knowing this before the day saves the awkward at-the-field exclusions.

Timing: morning windows (7–11 am) or afternoon (3–6 pm); for groups, the afternoon window plus a lakeside evening is the format that lands best. The group's natural social time gets built into the evening, not squeezed between flights.

Book ahead — the formula is roughly one week per ten people, more in peak season (Oct–Feb). A 30-person group on a November weekend wants 3+ weeks; a 6-person weekday trip can sometimes book days out.
